In addition to current projects, Trinity Refugee Awareness Campaign also seeks to support organizations that are working directly in areas of conflict. Look into the following organizations to learn how you can support them in preventative work.
Lifeline Syria is a not-for-profit organization that has responded to the Syrian refugee crisis. Their goal is to welcome and resettle Syrian refugees who have been sponsored in the Greater Toronto Area.
Through partnerships with local partners and churches, World Relief provides temporary shelters, hygiene items, and psychosocial counseling to displaced refugee families, as well as sponsoring child-friendly spaces for mothers and children. In addition, World Relief has been empowering local churches to resettle refugees in the United States for more than 35 years.
Amnesty International has been working with refugees and migrants for decades. Amnesty works to help to prevent refugees being returned to be persecuted and to protect the most vulnerable migrants from being exploited and abused by their employers, traffickers, and smugglers.
The Refuge Initiative
The Refuge Initiative is a division of World Orphans that is serving internally displaced people in Northern Iraq. They seek to provide an alternative to refugee camps where individuals and families fleeing conflict can engage in intentional communities. They also provide the opportunity for people to continue pursuing their passions through education and vocational training.
